NOVAFOODIES: READY TO SWITCH ON THE NEW MICROALGAE DRYER

The IDENER team is happy to announce that the microalgae microwave-assisted dryer has been manufactured and is ready to start with the initial trials and finetuning.

The device will be capable of dry microalgae samples produced by the consortium in a more sustainable way, consuming up to 15% less energy than the current conventional methods.

IDENER team is now working on optimizing the internal configuration of the cavity, combining experimental results with genetic algorithms to maximise the homogeneity of the electric field and thus of the temperature distribution.
