Innovation, sustainability, and inclusion in the future of seafood and aquaculture
NOVAFOODIES is pleased to announce the upcoming webinar “From Sea to Fork – Scientific Innovation for More Sustainable Food Systems”, organised by FEDERALIMENTARE and LVA.
The online event will bring together researchers, project partners, stakeholders, and policymakers to discuss innovative approaches and scientific advances supporting the transition towards more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems, with a particular focus on the seafood and aquaculture sectors.
The webinar programme will address key topics such as:
- novel and functional foods,
- sustainable protein diversification,
- innovation in seafood and aquaculture,
- inclusion and gender equality in EU aquaculture.
In this context, participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about the BLUEBOOST EU Project, coordinated by IRTA, which focuses on the development and demonstration of resource‑efficient and sustainable aquaculture models. Through integrated multi‑trophic aquaculture and circular approaches, BLUEBOOST contributes directly to the NOVAFOODIES “sea‑to‑fork” vision, linking environmental sustainability with innovation and food system resilience.
