GENDER EQUALITY AND INCLUSIVENESS REVIEW – A WORKSHOP TO REACH EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
Novafoodies for equal opportunities: a workshop about social inclusion and gender approach organized by ACH.
ACH is guiding the project development towards social and gender inclusion, and as part of its role, they organized a workshop in the M6 project meeting in Geneva for the integration of inclusiveness and gender approach in Novafoodies.
The aim of the workshop was to review inclusion and gender concepts, as well as to discuss how Novafoodies as a project can better contribute with their activities but also with the expertise of its partners, to reach equal opportunities in the fisheries, aquaculture and related food industries.
It helped them to be more aware of gender issues and inclusiveness at all levels and consider also the needs and circumstances of disadvantaged people to be inserted in the sector.
Suggestions by partners will be taken into consideration when elaborating the Social inclusion and gender guidelines that will be elaborated in the project.
